Malaria, microsporidians and mosquitoes

The aim of our research is to understand how evolutionary pressures affect the epidemiology of parasitic diseases and, vice-versa, how epidemiology affects the evolutionary pressures on hosts and parasites. We mostly work on malaria (one of the main causes of death in Africa) and microsporidians, a parasite of mosquitoes that may be able to help to control malaria.
